Finch - Whatever It Takes To Get Through The Day - monsters concepts

Earlier this year, we worked with Mathematic Studio on yet another really cool project, a musical short directed by Oscar-nominated and Ammy-winning Kirsten Lepore. Entitled "Whatever It Takes To Get Through The Day", it was used to promote the self-care app Finch.
We provided concept arts, both for characters, monsters and several scenes that you can find in the video.

Here you can follow part of the process as we were iterating on the monster's design. The first sketches were probably a bit too much on the "kawaii" side of things but based on our partner's feedback, we were able to quickly land on what would end up being the monster you can see in the movie.
