Place de l'Opéra

Since March 24th, the Musée d'Orsay has been celebrating the first Impressionist exhibition, which took place in Paris 150 years ago. This event, considered by many as a turning point in the history of art, cimented the Impressionism has a daring and audacious take on how artists should break free from classic conventions. For this celebration, the Musée d'Orsay accordingly took an innovative path. Based on an original idea and exclusive historical reconstitutions from GEDEON Experiences, Excurio - GEDEON Experiences and Musée d'Orsay wanted to create a VR experience in which attendees can travel back in time and witness the birth of the Impressionism, and some of the key milestones of the movement. "Une soirée avec les impressionistes" ("An evening with the Impressionists") is a EXCURIO - Gedeon Experiences - Musée d'Orsay coproduction ; working with Emissive, our team at Umeshu Lovers was delighted to create most of the visuals for that VR experience. Based on the 3D blockouts created by Emissive, we were trusted to provide 2D concepts, and then the final 3D renders for every bit of the experience.
